A message from Principal Katie Gundell...
St. John Lutheran School currently has 164 students enrolled in our PreK-8th grade program. We are celebrating our 175th school year! Offering a Christ-centered, rigorous educational program enables our students to proclaim the Gospel confidently and serve God and others in the community, blessed with a variety of skills and abilities.
Did you know?
- St. John had over 40 students participate on our co-ed JV and Varsity soccer teams this fall. It was exciting to see the fellowship of players and families at the games, using our new soccer goals which were donated by the Bryan and Nicole Argo Foundation.
- Two after school clubs are underway at St. John, the school Newspaper Club and the Crochet Club. The students are thrilled to explore these new opportunities.
Each school year, we celebrate a new theme based on Scripture. As we gather for Chapel each week, the theme is shared through many different passages of the Bible. Our theme this year is "Sent to Serve... with Gladness!" Psalm 100:2 Last Wednesday our students learned about the parable in Matthew 21:28-32. Jesus teaches about serving faithfully. As we listen to Jesus' words about serving in the vineyard (His creation), we find ourselves in His story, as chosen children of God, encouraged to proclaim our faith in our risen Savior. How do we answer Jesus when he says, "Go and work in the vineyard."
